HYPNOBIRTHING®

The Benefits of HypnoBirthing
So how can HypnoBirthing help you during your pregnancy and birth? First of all, it will help you to get much needed rest and relaxation during your pregnancy, and you will have the support of your qualified and experienced HypnoBirthing practitioner.
As you will be more relaxed during the birth of your baby, you will be working with your birthing instincts, and your own endorphins (the body's own natural pain relievers) will be able to work effectively. HypnoBirthing can shorten the first stage of labour by several hours and eliminate or greatly reduce the need for painkillers.
This encourages more rapid postnatal recovery for mum and better start for baby.
Because HypnoBirthing creates a more integral role for the birthing companion, it promotes special bonding between birthing companion, mother and baby.
Birthing is returned to the peaceful experience nature intended.
What will we learn on a HypnoBirthing course?
HypnoBirthing techniques are easy to learn and apply. Couples learn the techniques together during the course,
then practice what they have learned.
During the course you will learn relaxation, self-hypnosis and visualisation techniques to eliminate the fear and tension that can result in pain during the birth. You will learn exercises to prepare the body for birthing,
as well as how to create and control of the bodys own natural anaesthesia.
The HypnoBirthing course also teaches breathing techniques which work in harmony with the body, and you will be shown how the mothers body is designed to give birth.
You will be given information to allow you to make informed choices about your preferences during the birth.
The course encourages you to have confidence in your natural ability to birth your baby in a calm and gentle way,
helping you have a birthing experience you will want to remember.
